Public consultation on road safety
Québec has made significant progress in reducing the number of traffic accident victims, although the statistics for 2015 remind us that we cannot take this progress for granted and that we need to explore new avenues to continue improving the road safety record.
The timing could not be better for Québec’s first-ever public consultation on road safety, and I invite everyone to take part. I have the firm conviction that this exercise will provide us with new ideas that will allow us to go further and bring us closer to having one of the best road safety records in the world.
We look forward to hearing from as many participants as possible! In Québec, road safety matters to everyone.
Road safety: It matters to everyone.
Individuals, groups and associations were all invited to take part in the public consultation from January 9 to March 3, 2017. The consultation drew a high number of participants and we wish to thank all of you who took part. Your contributions will help us continue to improve the road safety record in the years to come.
A summary of the comments, suggestions and ideas for each topic will be published on the public consultation’s website this spring.
